Hooray today has been much better than yesterday; I decided that kick in the butt was what I needed to stay focused and on track. Not that I wasn't working hard before, but I'm more determined and motivated now. I had an acrobatics (dance) class this morning and then on the way home I stopped by my agent and dropped off a treat and some flowers for her as I haven't seen her in a while since I've been in America and we had a good talk. I really just need to figure out how to get that stupid Aussie accent; why do all the good tv shows I like to have on while I work and clean have to be American? Ok dumb question for many reasons....
My little cute baby Bella (pug jack russell "puggle" cross) is upset that her daddy hasn't gotten home from work yet; she's sitting on the top back part of the couch with her head resting on her toy not taking her eyes off the door! She keeps me company when I'm working from home; what would I do without her?
And work today from home I did. After I got back from my meeting and took a shower I spent the majority of the afternoon scouring and applying for castings. I've already heard back on a couple and I have an audition on Tuesday, so hopefully I'll be able to get some credits going in 2011! I have to figure out how to get more involved in theatre. I was looking up auditions and I found some in my area but the rehearsal period is for a few months and the show is in August, and I think I'll be in the states for a month or two in that period. (Hopefully for things which will be good steps in my acting career as well!)
I got a response for one that I'm really excited about; it's a feature and who knows how many people they are seeing but the next application step is a lot of work. I have to figure out a situation to film that shows a lot of reaction shots with danger, relief, and surprise. Best part? She has a chocolate obsession. Woo hoo; no need to go method for me; I've definitely got that part of the character built into me! During the workshop with Faith Martin on Monday when we were talking about areas about ourselves we want to improve and I said the physical part of my life, she asked when I wanted sugar and sweets. It may have come up that I wake up craving chocolate. (which is totally true no joke; sometimes it's the only thing that will get me out of bed in the morning is going to have a bit sized Reece's Peanut Butter Cup from my stash I bring over from the states!) Yeah, aside from surprise, her response was that's definitely not normal! Anyway, so I will also have to film her reaction to chocolate...I think I'll have to find something really good to use and reward myself with for that shot. Okay so maybe method is the way to go after all.... ;) Too bad I'm trying to lose weight and get more toned though! :-p
Anyway, the hard part (aside from actually filming it and possibly figuring out how to edit between master shots and close ups which I've never done before,) is that I'm supposed to wear clothes which are either all out or either give a hint of "post apocalyptic chic" as the film is a post apocalyptic zombie action. (Hee hee; fun I know - right?) ;) So I have to figure out exactly what that is and how to pull it off, in addition to getting better at typing at spelling the word "apocalyptic." Seriously; my typing words per minute rank drops to like a tenth of my normal speed and I'm not even sure if I'm spelling it right!
Augh so much work to do and my muscles hurt so much! I started pole again on Sunday and we are learning how to go upside down, where you grab the pole and then basically just fling your body upside down and hold onto the pole. Then I did two classes in a row on Tuesday and acrobatics/tumbling today; my arms seriously hurt just trying to take out my ponytail! I have my first cheer class that I teach on Saturday; it should be fun! It's a very good sign to me when I'm doing something new and I'm more confident and excited than nervous. I just hope I can put together a good routine that's fun for the girls; (and not lame surrounded by all the dance routines they will be doing), we'll see how it works with having 8 weeks to teach them how to cheer and be tight and motions and do chants and cheers and then stunt and then work it all into a routine!
BOO I just had a big paragraph typed out about what I am trying to do and accomplish and I somehow manged to hit random buttons while typing and I lost it. At least it was only the paragraph and not the whole thing. (See; I told you I'm better at being positive and really meaning it today!) ;-D
Okay time for bed; I hope poor Kalon gets home soon he's been working hours like crazy. I usually try to keep working until he gets home from work but I think it's okay to draw the line at midnight.
Sweet dreams wherever you are and whatever time it is for you! :)
